Project Overview

The Raising Innovative Sport Enablers (R.I.S.E.) project aims to empower women to step into leadership roles in sports governance, coaching, and consultancy. The project aligns with the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) gender strategy, striving to achieve 30% women in leadership roles within the sports sector.

Funding & Implementation
This initiative is supported by Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade (DFAT) through The Pacific Community’s (SPC) Pacific Women Lead (PWL) program and is implemented by the Palau National Olympic Committee (PNOC).

Key Activities

Attract: Knowledge Approach

This activity focuses on promoting awareness and engagement by conducting research on women’s participation in sports leadership and identifying barriers to entry. The findings will help develop strategies to encourage more women to explore leadership opportunities in sports.

Celebrate: Building and Growing Awareness

By highlighting achievements and increasing visibility, this activity aims to inspire and motivate future women leaders in sports.

Empower: Education, Learning & Mentoring

Providing essential training, education, and mentorship, this activity supports women in developing the skills needed for leadership roles.
